Inside the Office

Come in. I was just thinking.

Life has a way of reminding you, it’s not what comes before or after your name that makes your name. What you do with it does.

Get up. Get dressed. And don’t be afraid to laugh.

People rarely see how uncomfortable you were just to get here.

Keep pressing forward.

The Man Behind the Office

Some lessons are learned more than once.

I’ve worn a few uniforms, held a few titles, sat on a few boards, and learned (and forgot) more than a few lessons along the way.

I’ve been confident and nervous. I’ve succeeded with flying colors, made it by the skin of my teeth, and failed enough times to learn from that, too.

Through it all, I’ve tried to learn from the experience and share what I’ve learned with others—even when life required me to learn the lesson again.

That’s part of why this Office exists.

From the Office

Lessons are better served shared.

There’s no need to make all the mistakes. Learn from mine.

What comes from this Office is shaped by experiences—leadership, service, education, business, community, and life.

Sometimes it becomes a book.

Sometimes a conversation.

Sometimes a little motivation.

Whatever form it takes, the goal is simple: Keep pressing forward.
